Classification of cast steel gate valves

Cast steel gate valves are divided into carbon steel gate valves, stainless steel gate valves, low alloy steel gate valves (high temperature chromium molybdenum steel belongs to this category), low temperature steel gate valves, etc.
Under each kind of cast steel gate valve there are various specific steel grades commonly used as follows:
1. The casting Numbers of carbon steel gate valves are: WCA, WCB, WCC, LCB, etc.; Applicable temperature -46 degrees ~425 degrees.
2. Stainless steel gate valve casting: 301 stainless steel, CF8 stainless steel (corresponding to forging 304 stainless steel), CF8M stainless steel (corresponding to forging 316 stainless steel), etc.; Applicable temperature: 198 ~816 degrees.
3, low alloy steel high temperature alloy steel and high strength low alloy steel, high temperature alloy steel is often said to be chrome molybdenum steel.
Chromium molybdenum steel gate valve casting number: ZG1Cr5Mo, ZG15Cr1MoV, ZG20CrMoV, WC6, WC9, C12A, etc. Applicable temperature: 550 ~750 degrees.
The applicable temperature of each specific brand material is different, depending on the actual working conditions.
Myth that
In the purchase of the valve when it comes to cast steel gate valves are normally means WCB brand of carbon steel gate, because in the early days of steel castings without as it is now rich, speaking of cast steel gate valves only WCB the material choice, time is long the default cast steel gate valves is WCB steel gate, WCB steel gate is also the oldest, one of the most widely used form of valve structure.
